Beer Runs

Mt. Madonna Challenge will be hosting the Gilroy Beer Runs starting at 6pm every other Friday beginning May 17, 2024 to August 23, 2024

  • May 17 (first beer run) @OverFlow Tap House

  • May 31 @Promised Land Brewing Co.

  • June 14 @Pour Me Taproom

  • June 28 @Settle Down Brewery

  • July 12 @OverFlow Tap House

  • July 26 @Promised Land Brewing Co.

  • August 9 @Pour Me Taproom

  • August 23 (last beer run) @Settle Down Brewery

Both our 2 mile loop and 4 mile loop are family friendly!

What is a beer run? We run, hang out, and have a drink. It’s followed by a community announcement and runner accomplishments. The purpose of these beer runs is to connect and support our community and local businesses. We will meet at the location that corresponds to the date at 6pm

A BIG shout out to POUR ME TAPROOM and OVERFLOW TAP HOUSE for participating in Brews for Shoes! These two businesses have generously offered to donate $1 - $2 of every pint purchased by a participating runner to the Mt. Madonna Challenge. Mt. Madonna Challenge will use the donation to cover the cost of running shoes for any middle school and high school runner in Gilroy, who may require a fresh pair.

We are grateful to have an amazing person like, Randy Higashi, supporting us! If you’ve joined us for a beer run, chances are you’ve seen him behind a camera. Randy has kindly taken time out of his day to not only capture the moment, but upload the pictures onto his site for purchase, and donate the proceeds to the Mt. Madonna Challenge Scholarships. Course Preview Runs

Mt. Madonna Challenge hosts course preview runs. Course preview runs are a great way for race participants to familiarize themselves with the course before race day! We are now done for the year but be surety check back with us next year!
