Mt. Madonna Challenge Scholarship

Our goal is to help cultivate and nurture the love for the outdoors and the sport of running by having kids attend the Max King Trail Running Camp which will be hosted at Redwood National Park in Crescent, CA, in 2024. This is a unique week filled with camaraderie, stewardship, adventure, trail tips, and self reflection.

We encourage all local high school cross country/track and field kids from the surrounding areas (Gilroy, Watsonville, Salinas, Morgan Hill, Hollister, and San José) to apply

2022 MKTRC

Our first year participating in the Max King Trail Running Camp took place on June 2022 in Mt. Shasta, California. Four local cross country kids from Christopher High School and Gilroy High School spent a week sleeping under the stars, running up and down mountains, swimming in lakes, orienteering, team building, volunteering, getting tips from professional athletes/mentors, and eating delicious food!
